Are ILIA products safe for pregnancy?

ILIA Beauty is a clean, skin-centric beauty brand. Our Founder, Sasha, has always worn ILIA throughout her pregnancies and we continue to recommend them to those who are expecting. All of our products are non-toxic and safe to use during pregnancy. Any essential oils present in any of the formulas will not induce labor as they are in the formula at extremely low percentages. However, everyone has individual needs and sensitivities, and especially while pregnant, it might be best for you to check with your doctor.

When will my products expire?

All ILIA Beauty products have a year 2 shelf year and 1 year period after opening except eye products. It's recommended that eye products are discarded after 6 months of opening.

Our SPF products will include an expiration date, which we recommend following.

  • If you're curious as to when your product(s) expire specifically, please reach out to us and provide the 3-4 digit catch code that is typically found on the bottom of the product and/or box.
  • Contact us here: https://support.iliabeauty.com/en-US/contact

Will my products melt/freeze in certain temperatures?

If your ILIA Beauty product is subjected to excessive heat or cold for short periods, it will not impact the product’s efficacy, although it may result in a texture variance. Prolonged exposure may cause a product to spoil or be less effective.

At ILIA Beauty, we complete a robust stability protocol that includes a test set at 45°C/113°F for four weeks on all products. We do this for many reasons and one is to address shipping products in hot climates and ensure the quality of the product
