Are ILIA products nut-free?Updated 24 days ago
We use a variety of tree nut oils and seed oils in our products such as Coconut, Jojoba, Sesame Seed, and Shea. Each product's ingredient list is available online at ILIAbeauty.com, so if there is a specific item you are interested in you can review the ingredients, or we can dig further on a specific one for you.
We don’t use the classic nuts known to cause allergies but technically we are not nut-free if you include the above. Specifically, our Necessary Eyeshadow Palettes contain Floramac 10, derived from Macadamia integrifolia, a tree nut, and therefore cannot be claimed as “nut-free”. However, if there is worry about allergies the material supplier has stated: “Refined oils, including macadamia oil, have been evaluated to confirm any allergic potential in the form of proteins have been removed and below detectable levels. Floramac 10 is derived from this refined oil, and has been confirmed to be absent of allergic potential”. It's listed as Macadamia Integrifolia (Macadamia) Oil and Ethyl Macadamiate in the ingredient list.
Our Liquid Powder Eye Tint also contains Aesculus hippocastanum extract / Aesculus hippocastanum (horse chestnut) extract.
